Introduction

Welcome to Friends of Portia. The purpose of this blog is to make San Diego County a safer place to walk dogs on leash. It is dedicated to the memory of Portia, a beautiful four year old greyhound who was walking with her doggie companion, Bingley with John, my husband, when she was viciously attacked by a dog that was negligently let loose while his owner rolled a trash can to the curb. In spite of state of the art veterinary care, she died a week after the attack.
